Snackland was quiet.
Not peaceful — quiet.
The kind of quiet that follows broken systems, shattered clipboards, and eaten spreadsheets.
Jeff Jelly sat slumped in a chair, no longer cinnamon red, just exhausted.
Allen Apple stared at the ruins of the point board.
Grant the Grapefruit paced in slow, betrayed circles.
Julian Jellybean leaned against a wall, smug and unapologetic.
And Obesseus slept.
In the executive chair.
Snoring.
“OBESEUS BOSS,” he mumbled.
That’s when the room darkened.
Not from anger.
From authority.
A cool, calm presence rolled in like a royal decree.
The doors opened smoothly — no green beans, no alarms.
In walked King Billy Blueberry.
Cloak crisp.
Crown polished.
Expression deeply unimpressed.
Everyone froze.
Jeff shot upright. “Y–Your Majesty!”
Allen dropped his clipboard. “We can explain.”
Billy surveyed the room.
The eaten spreadsheets.
The shattered overtime clock.
The unconscious executive.
“…I leave Snackland alone for ONE cycle,” Billy said calmly,
“and you turn accountability into performance art.”
Julian smiled. “In my defense—”
Billy raised one finger.
Julian stopped talking.
Billy turned to Obesseus.
“Is he… asleep?”
Obesseus snorted. “MEETING SUCCESS.”
Billy sighed. “Of course.”
He turned back to the others.
“The point system is abolished,” Billy declared.
“Overtime is suspended. Permanently.”
Jeff exhaled so hard his tie loosened.
Grant fist-pumped. “YES.”
Billy continued, “However… chaos still requires balance.”
Everyone tensed.
Billy snapped his fingers.
The room shifted.
The walls folded back.
And suddenly, standing at the chalkboard, completely unprepared…
…was Josh JollyRancher.
Josh blinked. “Wait. Why am I here?”
Behind him, Professor Math adjusted his glasses.
“Josh,” Professor Math said calmly, “you skipped three planning meetings and rescheduled two without approval.”
Josh laughed nervously. “I was… innovating?”
Professor Math wrote on the board:
OVERTIME ASSIGNED
Josh gasped. “YOU CAN’T DO THAT.”
Professor Math turned.
“Oh,” he said gently.
“I absolutely can.”
Josh looked around in horror. “This is what overtime feels like?!”
Jeff nodded. “Yes.”
Allen whispered, “It changes you.”
Josh slumped. “I just wanted to teach fractions…”
Professor Math smiled.
“Then you’ll love long division.”
Josh screamed internally.
King Billy Blueberry nodded, satisfied.
“Balance restored.”
He turned to leave.
At the door, Obesseus stirred.
“OBESEUS STILL BOSS?”
Billy smiled faintly.
“For today.”
Obesseus cheered and immediately fell back asleep.
The room relaxed.
Grant glared at Julian. “We’re not done.”
Julian smirked. “I wouldn’t expect we were.”
Jeff stood slowly. “No more systems.”
Allen nodded. “No more points.”
Professor Math tapped the board.
“Only consequences.”
Josh whimpered.
And the final screen flickered to life:
POINT SYSTEM: GONE
OVERTIME: JUSTICE-BASED
MANAGEMENT: MONITORED
King Billy Blueberry vanished into the hallway.
Snackland breathed again.
Somewhere, a clock ticked.
Josh JollyRancher groaned.
And Obesseus snored loudly in the boss chair.
